Jennifer Wen Ma, Art Director, New York/Beijing

Jennifer Wan Ma (b. 1973) has emerged as one of the most innovative artists of her generation. She maintains an eclectic art practice, working in media as varied as installation, video, drawing, fashion design, performance, and public art. Within these frameworks, Ma continues to defy traditional classifications by combing unexpected elements, resulting in a prolific cross-disciplinary approach that is sensitive, poetic, and poignant.

Guillermo Acevedo:Creative Technology Director

Acevedo is a graduate of the Masters Program at ITP (Interactive Telecommunications Program), Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. As an undergraduate he majored in Philosophy at the Universidad del Rosario, Bogotá and attended the Electrical Engineering program at Universidad de los Andes in the same city. Born in Rhode Island to Colombian parents, he lived in Colombia from 1975 to 1999 and is currently based in New York City.

Acevedo has consulted and collaborated with other artists in projects involving the use of technology and interactivity. During the last 10 years he has worked as a Creative Director and Head of IT at a PR company in New York. Acevedo’s own artistic research explores the interpretation of reality, particularly the delicate balance between cognition, perception, and sensation. His projects question current definitions of sentience, life, and empathy, creating a new ground between aesthetics and ethics, where aesthetics serves as a tool for ethical exploration.

Steven Bleicher

Steven Bleicher is Associate Dean of the College of Humanities and Fine Arts and a tenured professor in the Visual Arts Department at Coastal Carolina University. In 2012, the second edition of Steven’s book Contemporary Color: Theory and Use was published by Cengage Press. Over the past decade Steven has been a visiting lecturer and consultant on color psychology. He was a visiting scholar of color theory and usage at The Nanjing Art Institute in China. Steven is also an accomplished artist whose work is widely collected and exhibited both nationally and internationally in numerous exhibitions.

Cindy Jia Ma, Project Manager, Littlemeat Productions, Tianjin/Beijing

Cindy Ma comes into the role of director for Littlemeat Productions with 18 years of international business and management experience. She is the project management head for Jennifer Wen Ma's artistic projects in the greater China area. A born optimist, Cindy is devoted to the study of Chinese traditional philosophies and has made it her personal goal to share its wisdom with as many people as she can in her life.
